Summary:碩士 === 康寧大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 107 === The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship of principals’ leadership style and teachers’ job satisfaction of Remote Area, and to analyze the differences between the principals’ leadership style cognitive and teachers’ job satisfaction of those teachers who have different background. The study adopted questionnaire survey method, and chose 268 public elementary school teachers in the townships of Kouhu and Sihu of Yunlin County as the sample. The total number of the returned questionnaires was 253, and the valid responses were 247 (92.16%). The questionnaire are analyzed by descriptive statistics, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson product-moment correlation and other statistical methods. The major findings of this study are summarized as follows: 1. Principals’ leadership is mostly democratic in the Remote Area. 2. The level of teachers’ job satisfaction was above average. 3. Those teachers with different background including service-year, and the beginning principals or not are influenced in terms of awareness of principals’ leadership style. 4. Teachers’ job satisfaction are influenced in terms of different background including service-year, school scale, and the leader whether a beginning principals. 5. There was a positive correlation between principals’ democratic leadership and teachers’ job satisfaction.
