The Internet access rate for people over the age of 12 has reached 83% in 2017. With the use of the Internet use is becoming more generalized also increase the risk of information leakage, and led to many social problems. Based on the data from 2016 Taiwan Digital Opportunity Survey in Taiwan compiled by the National Development Council, Executive Yuan applying to identify the determinants of Taiwanese’ information leakage and the effects they cause. There are four types of effects in this research, including cyber fraud, cyberbullying, Internet addiction, and Internet distrust. By conducting propensity score matching method, the results indicate that the major factors in information leakage are sex, age, education, student, income, online willing-to-pay, Internet age, online entertaining, online job searching, online paying, and Internet citizen participating. Furthermore, the information leakage will significantly increase Taiwanese’ cyber fraud and cyberbullying.
