A Study about Idol Worship and Self-concept for Higher Grade Primary School Students in Taipei

碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 教育研究所碩士在職專班 === 106 === The purpose of this study is to conduct a research about self-concept and idol worship of the higher grade primary school students in Taipei. To achieve the above purpose, and the concrete research contents are including to understand the present situations of the backgrounds, and two factors; to explore the differences of the backgrounds on idol worship; to explore the differences of the backgrounds on self-concept; to confirm the relationship between two factors; to construct the model about two factors. This study applied survey questionnaires, and have distributed 354 based on stratified random sampling, and returned samples were 326. This study will apply descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, 1-Way MANOVA, and structural equation modeling (SEM) analyses (SmartPLS). Results of the study were summerarized as follows: (1) The present sitations of self-concept and idol worship of the higher grade primary school students in Taipei were good; (2) There were significantly differences among students with different background in idol worship and self-concept; (3) The model showed that idol worship had significant positive influence on self-concept. This is the first model about idol worship and self-concept for higher grade primary school students in Taipei. This study has provided concrete conclusion and suggestions for related teachers and parents.
