Description
Summary:碩士 === 美和科技大學 === 社會工作系碩士班 === 106 === The purpose of the research was to explore the current services, difficulities and coping strategies of the ‘Laiyi Tribal Culture Health Station’ in Pingtung County. Interview data were collected from 2 service-users and 4 service-providers which were then qualitatively analyzed. The research results showd the culture health station could offer care services for the elders in the tribe; however, some difficulities were encountered, such as the shortage of qualified caring professionals, low salary, inadequate facilities and equipment, boring curriculum implementation, and young tribal people did not want to devote themselves into tribal care services. Even so, the tribal cultural health station had become the main way for the tribal elders to obtain long-term care resources. Additionally, the station could also enhance the social participation and health promotion for the elders. Based on these research findings, some suggestions and reflections were made: (1) the resources and funds for the tribal organization offering care services should be increased; (2) the links between tribal care organizations and social welfare agencies should be strengthened; and (3) the long-term care demand survey in the tribe should be conducted timely and proper services should be provided so that the goal of aging in place can be achieved.
