To achieve the purpose of the study, this research sampled in convenient sampling and surveyed thru self-compiled questionnaire, and 250 nurses were surveyed. Descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way analysis of variance, and Pearson Product-Moment Correlation were used to analyze the 200 valid questionnaires collected. The conclusions of the study were as follows: 1. The results indicated no significant differnces among “gender,” “age,” “marital status,” “highest education level,” “number of years employed in the long-term institution,” “number of years employed in the current institution,” “current work schedule,” as well as “hours of work per week (i.e., part time versus full time).” 2. The results indicated no significant differecnes among “gender,” “age,” “marital status,” “number of years employed in the long-term institution,” “current work schedule,” and “hours of work per week (i.e., part time versus full time).” However, there were sinifcant differnces across age groups in the intention to stay on the job. Those who are 41 to 50 years old will be significantly higher than those who are over 60 years old. There were significant differences between “number of years employed in the current institution,” those who have been employed for more than five years are more likely to stay at the same institutions than those who have been employed for less than one year. 3. There was a highly positive correlation between the job satisfaction and the intention to stay on the job. Key words: elderly nursing institutions, registered nurse, job satisfaction, intention to stay on the job NIEH, HWA-MING 聶華明 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 69 zh-TW
