However, the literature on male migrant workers of Southeast Asia is limited, and most of them are discussed from the perspective of policy and law. This thesis explores how the stereotypes of Southeast Asia workers in Taiwan are formed and shaped in the context of postcolonial history and from the perspective of economic, culture, and sexual. Then, using Taiwan's official data and private media reports as the main axis, this paper uses psychoanalysis to sort out Taiwan's imaginary construction of male migrant workers in Southeast Asia. Through the class differences between the male workers in Taiwanese and Southeast, this research provides a better understanding of the problems the Southeastern Asian male workers are facing and the possible solutions.
