Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立政治大學 === 外交學系 === 106 === This research aims to analyze the relationship between the UN, NGOs and the realization of children’s right to education. It examines the roles of NGOs in the advocacy of children’s right to education and how the civil society have adapted to become part of the UN system. To understand the course of the UN initiated Education for All (EFA) campaign, a detailed chronology of relevant events is provided, and the role of the Global Campaign for Education (GCE) in the financing mechanism Global Partnership for Education (GPE) is analyzed as a case study. I conclude that the civil society actors have become relatively influential in the public-private partnerships (PPPs) constructed by the UN and its partners in the Education for All (EFA) campaign.
