| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立政治大學 === 政治學系 === 106 === This dissertation aims to clarify the controversies over Nietzschean freedom in the English-speaking world as well as to contend that Nietzsche is a positive freedom thinker, so as to offer another interpretation of Nietzschean Freedom. The uniqueness of Nietzsche’s idea of freedom lies in, in fact, achieving a balance and harmony of Dionysian and Apollonian spirit. Furthermore, Nietzschean freedom deeply concerns “How to become yourself” and “become an overman”, which is also at the core of Nietzsche’s thought. Meanwhile, this dissertation also offers a different way of understanding the section 2-3 in Nietzsche’s Genealogy of Morality and clarifies some of the rather confusing concepts, such as : ”Free will”,”Freedom of the will”,”freedom” and “Free Spirit” in the text.
