Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 財務金融學系 === 106 === The purpose of this study is to explore the effect of the government’s New Southbound Policy promoted by the government in 2016 on the stock returns of listed counter companies and the upstream and downstream industries of the company, and to choose the New Southbound Policy-impacting countries, setting up the concept stocks in Vietnam and setting up the concept stocks in India as Study the sample, use the incident research method and through the abnormal return generated by the fluctuation of the stock price to understand the market's response to the New Southbound Policy. As a result of the empirical findings, we have found that both the Vietnamese concept stocks and the Indian concept stocks have significant abnormal returns for the establishment of the New Southbound Policy Office. We further calculated the abnormal returns for the promulgation of the New Southbound Policy agenda and the adoption of the New Southbound Policy budget, and found that there were also significant positive returns. We further analyzed the upstream and downstream industries of the company and found that the New Southbound Policy was more certain over time. In the three major events related to the New Southbound Policy, we have all found that there are significant abnormal returns, and we can observe that the market has a positive response to the New Southbound Policy.
