At present, although Taiwan has some teaching strategies for learning disabilities, the effectiveness of the strategies is not obvious. In fact, the cause of learning disabilities is a complex issue. It is deeply influenced by the causal structure composed by the interactions between the internal and external factors of the education system. It needs to be explored through a methodology which combines causal analysis ability with macro perspective. This study uses the system dynamics methodology to explore the factors that shape the mathematical learning disabilities in Taiwan's junior high school through case-action-research and discuss different educational strategies. Through the construction of causal loops and the stock-and-flow model, this study tested the effectiveness of different strategies. The results of causal loops model show that the key variables affecting mathematics learning disabilities include: learning motivation, schedule planning, and teaching time allocation. The results of strategies simulations show that adjusting the progress according to the ability of students with mathematical learning disabilities has a good effect on mathematics application ability and learning motivation; improving the proportion of basic mathematics part can raise the basic mathematics ability without reducing the mathematics application ability.
