碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 休閒產業經營學系 === 106 === The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors affecting the elite athlete career development, job satisfaction, and how career development could influence job satisfaction. The research method was quantitative oriented, and the research tool was a close-ended questionnaire with good reliability and validity. 282 valid questionnaires were collected by snowball sampling technique. The results of this study were as following: First, 8 factors are found to affect elite athlete career development, including stress resistance, positive working attitude, multiple information channels, career goal setting, financial knowledge, interests combined with expertise, training of second profession, and knowledge and economic competence; Second, there is a positive relationship between the elite athlete career development and job satisfaction; Third, the elite athlete’s stress resistance and interests combined with profession has a positive influence on job satisfaction. According to the results of this study, the researcher suggests that the government could develop the elite athlete’s second profession based on the interests, establish career counseling mechanism, provide employment channel and a diverse learning environment, assist career development planning, and enhance living knowledge. In addition, the researcher suggests the future researchers could study for the career development of different sport categories’ job satisfaction.
