In order to improve Taoyuan International Airport ground access road and traffic congestion, the government has established an airport connection system to connect transportation hubs such as Taipei Station, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, and Taoyuan high speed rail Station. However, according to the airport MRT passenger load factor, only 20% of passengers boarding and leaving the A12 and A13 stations every day. This is beyond the expectation, and these people are mostly concentrated in the peak hour. The purpose of this study was to understand the factors of travelers’ mode choices of airport MRT and to use the revealed preference methods design questionnaire to clarify the passenger’s past experience and use stated preference methods to adjust scenarios with hypothetical airport MRT fares and headway. To understand the travelers’ mode choices between peak hour and off-peak hour, using multiple logit model and nest logit model to conduct data evaluation for peak and off-peak hours, and construct passengers’ mode choices behavior. The results of the study show that the service and confort quality at peak and off-peak times, all variables will affect the behavior of the travelers’ mode choice except the safety. The scenario attributes (travel cost, travel time) are significant at the peak time. In the alternative specific variables of the peak time, whether the age, income, educational, car license, traveling purpose, and number of peers include the elderly or children and the early departure time are the variables that affect the traveler mode choice behavior. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the Taoyuan Airport MRT operation. According to the results of the flexible analysis, when the travel time and travel costs increase, the chances of the airport MRT being selected are lower than those of other mode, in particular, travel costs have the highest degree of impact.
