Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中央大學 === 土木工程學系 === 106 === This study used wind tunnel experiments and tracer gas technique to investigate the natural ventilation of buildings with atrium. The study parameters included wind speed, wind direction, opening area, and different roofings on the atrium. The experimental results revealed that the wind-driven ventilation rate is proportional to the external wind speed and the opening area, and the louver on the roofing could lessen the ventilation rate. This study also developed a physical model to estimate the ventilation rates of wind- and buoyancy-driven ventilation. When Archimedes number larger than 1, the ventilation rate was mainly dominated by wind-driven ventilation. The results of this study can be used to improve the natural ventilation of buildings with atrium.
