The result of the questionnaire was analyzed by using SPSS for Windows 20.0. The conclusions below were drawn out based on descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson’s product- moment correlation, and multiple regression analysis. 1. Principals' transformational leadership and teachers' organizational commitment in senior high schools in Taichung City were above the middle degree. 2. The perceptual differences of principals' transformational leadership and organizational commitment of senior high schools in Taichung City teachers with vary demographical backgrounds were partly found in this study. 3. In terms of personal and school background variables, there were significant differences among the perception of teachers with different gender and job positions toward principal’s transformational leadership. Within all, male teacher’s perception were higher than females toward principal’s transformational leadership;the perception of teachers with additional administrative jobs toward principal’s transformational leadership and organizational commitment were higher than normal teachers;46-60 class school size of the senior high schools in Taichung City teacher’s perception organizational commitment were the lowest. 4. The correlation between principals' transformational leadership and organizational commitment of teachers in senior high schools in Taichung City were significantly positive correlation. 5. The principals' transformational leadership and organizational commitment of teachers could significantly predict the school effectiveness in senior high schools in Taichung City. According to the above conclusions, some suggestions to educational authorities, principals, teachers and future research are proposed.
