Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 公共事務與公民教育學系 === 106 === The program of "Volunteer Increasing" has been put into effect by Changhua County Government since 2008, which serves as a strategy to promote the participation of volunteer service. By the year of 2017, more than a hundred thousand volunteers have been involved in this program. Among all the counties, Changhua was ranked 5th. During the period between 2010 and 2012, numerous senior high school students engaged in the promotion, recruitment, training, and mangement of the youth volunteers service, making those major events held by Changhua successful. Even though those major events came to an end, the high school student volunteers still kept serving on and off the campus, including the caring of the disadvantaged. Among serveral theories of participation needs, volunteers' willingness of serving is not completely because of altruism, sacrifice, or philanthropy. In fact, there is no single theory which can explain the motivation of volunteers. If we think in stereotypes that those volunteers help based on altruism, or hold the prejudice on those volunteers, it may be possible to ruin the volunteers' practical works or even mislead them in the process of helping. Thus, volunteers' discontent will arise on the basis of interruption; even worse, those volunteers might produce sense of fatigue or even cause withdrawal. Back to school, due to the lack of faculty, the immense workload of school development, the launch of featured courses, and enrollment stress caused by declining birth rate, the volunteering human resources become more significant. The study aims to investigate the school youth volunteers' experience of participating in volunteer service, and the subjects of the study are the volunteers from Yi-Hsin Volunteering Club in Ching Cheng High School of Changhua. The study is in the hope of finding out the precious experience and the participating process from those youth volunteers.
