Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 農藝學系研究所 === 106 === Gibberellins (GAs) are known to have important function in plant, such as elongation of stem and germination of seed. RSG (REPRESSION OF SHOOT GROWTH) was found in tobacco first. It has been known that RSG could transfer into nucleus to promote biosynthesis of GA to enhance plant height, and it is regulated by 14-3-3 and CDPK1. This study found that rice also exhinited a RSG homologous gene, OsRSG1. RT-PCR analysis showed that OsRSG1 expression was abundantly on 3 d of germinating seed. The expression of GA20Ox1 was increased in the OsRSG-Ox transgenic lines. GUS staining revealed that the transgenic OsRSG::GUS is obviously expression in the embryo of 3 d of germinating seed, and in the developing seed of embryo and endosperm. The rice plants are slightly shorter and higher in OsRSG-Ox and mOsRSG-Ox lines, respectively. These results demonstrated that OsRSG1 might play roles in developing and germinating rice seeds by a GA-independent manner.
