Summary:碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 教育學系研究所 === 106 === The purposes of this study were to understand the current status of the principal’s change leadership(PCL) and teacher empowerment(TE) in senior high schools(SHSs), and to explore the relationship between the PCL and TE. The questionnaire survey was adopted in this study. A self-designed questionnaire was conducted through the study. A total of 320 questionnaires were sent to 17 SHSs in Yunlin County, Chiayi County and Chiayi City, and 202 teachers questionnaires were valid. The major findings of this study were as follows: 1. The perceptions of SHS teachers toward the PCL and TE were at a medium to high level. 2. There were significant different perceptions of SHS teachers with different gender, position, school size, and school type toward the PCL. (1)Male SHS teachers had better perceptions than the female. (2)The directors had better perceptions than class tutor. (3)The small SHS teachers had better perceptions than medium and large schools. (4)Private SHS teachers had better perceptions than the public. 3. There were significant different perceptions of SHS teachers with different seniority,position, and school type toward the TE. (1) Teachers with the seniority less than 8 years were better than the seniority 18-26 years in the aspect of "professional growth". (2) The directors had better perceptions than the section chief and the teachers. (3) Private SHS teachers had better perceptions than the public in the aspect of " Professional autonomy" and “Self-efficacy”. 4. There were positive correlation between PCL and TE. 5. The aspects of " Create a Supportive Environment”, “Organizing Change Teams”, and “Create a Culture of Change " in PCL had predictive power to TE. Finally, based on the above results, eight suggestions were proposed for SHS management.
