To protect metal materials from corrosion, metal protective coating is an indispensable part. However, the coating is in a corrosive environment. In order to resist the damage caused by metal materials due to corrosion, the application of a metal protective coating is an indispensable part. However, the deterioration will be encountered when the coating is in a corrosive environment. It is also worth researching and studying how to use the coating to resist corrosion situation. In view of the fact that there are 17 oil supply centers of one oil company in Taiwan with the number of oil tanks is as high as several hundred, the safe operation is interconnected with people life and assets. It is an important part of safe operation concerning corrosion protection of oil tank with coatings. Therefore, reducing oil tank corrosion and extending life is an important part of safety. If any dangerous event occurred, it will cause major disasters. In this study, in the case of maintenance engineering, the two oil storage tanks in a domestic oil supply center were sprayed and rusted, the same material and metal protective coating practice were applied, and the film thickness was compared. The oil tank was used for non-destructive testing of steel plates. The effect of coating film thickness on the corrosion degree of oil tank steel plate shows that the anti-corrosion coating has a thinner or moderate film thickness, and its anti-rust and anti-corrosion effect is better.
