Summary:碩士 === 國立東華大學 === 教育行政與管理學系 === 106 === The main purpose of this research is to discuss how to utilize experience in knowledge management in the field of junior high schools, and how the applications of knowledge-management can improve efficiency in school administrations, such as knowledge sharing, applications of experiences, storage of management data, innovative knowledge. suggestions and solutions are provided for educational system upper-level management personnel. This research can be categorized as a analytical research using in-depth interviews in data collection and understanding how the knowledge-management is used and developed in Student Affairs department in junior high schools. The conclusion of the research are tieted as the follows: 一、Internal Motivations for knowledge management within school organizations: 1.Lost or lack of recording of event occurrence.2.Difference in personnel management roles.3.The aim for improvement in work-efficiency.4.To keep up with advancement in society and technology.5. Personal research interests and goals.6.Improve work management and quality. External motivations for knowledge management: 1.Increased amount of social issues among students, and communication problems between students and teachers.2.To keep up with concurrent education policy changes.3.Effectiveness of school leadership. 4. Low manpower of teaching staff.5.To maintain high cooperation between colleagues.6.Better utilization of external resources. 二、Advantages of knowledge management:1. Technology advancement.2.Non-profit nature of school organization.3.Similarities in educational organization and member structure.4.Better relationship with other professionals of non-educational background.5.To gain support from higher management.6. Specific missions of a teacher’s professional role.7.To meet expectation of parents towards school and teachers. 三、Methods of knowledge management:1. Access of knowledge: 1. Individual self-support.2.Mutual-support. Storage of knowledge: 1. Transitional methods 2. Advanced methods with the use of technologies. Sharing of knowledge: 1. One-directional 2. Cross-directional. Application of knowledge and advances: 1. Administrative applications 2. Class-teaching applications 四、Internal challenges in knowledge management: 1. Lack of habits in data storage.2.discouraged in professional growth.3.Fear of change.4.Work-load of administration work. External challenges:1.High replacement rate of regular teachers.2.Lack of Chief mgmt personnel.3.Lengthy procedures and difficulties in upgrading software.4.Low participation in knowledge-sharing in working environment. 五、Possible Resolutions for above challenges:1.To improve participation in knowledge-sharing.2.To upgrade information technology facilities.3.To improve inter-office communications.4.To improve and increase the file management hardware space.5.To simplify current work-flow process.6.To gain support from supervisor.7.To attempt better use of communication software.8.Cooperative working attempt to resolve student issues. 9. To assign a specific supervisor in knowledge management.
