A Study on the Departmental Performance of the University: An Example for Military University

碩士 === 國防大學 === 資源管理及決策研究所 === 106 === Compared with the past research, the single-stage input-output model is used to measure the performance of a university's departments. This research is based on the intellectual capital, and is mainly composed by the three major fields: teaching, researching, and services provided by each department. Work on the performance of multi-stage input-output models, and take the example of the department of a military university. However, universities often integrate the departments with similar characteristics into professional colleges, therefore, this study also uses the meta-frontier method to deal with the performance appraisal of the department, at the same time, it compares the technical gap of the efficiency boundary of different colleges. Finally, the effect of other non-input-output factors on the performance of the system is discussed by truncated regression. The results show that, first, the gap between the performance of the department is mainly in the performance of research and service, which should be emphasized and required by the school's senior management. Secondly, in this study, the technical gap between the two schools in the common boundary method was the lowest, and the following was the largest. Finally, in terms of non-input-output factors, the study found that there is a positive influence on the performance of the school, which is generally superior to the metropolitan area in the non-metropolitan area.
