Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄海洋科技大學 === 海洋環境工程研究所 === 106 === The Japanese 311 tsunami in 2011 has caused extremely heavy losses to the Japan port facilities. Many breakwaters including in Kamaishi Port have suffered serious tsunami destruction. According to the historical records, northern Taiwan has high potential of tsunami threat. Taipei harbor is an important international commercial harbor in Taiwan. It may have tsunami impact due to it is located at the north of Taiwan, This study utilizes COMCOT (Cornell Multi-grid Coupled Tsunami Model) from Cornell University to simulate tsunami waves generated by different seismic moment scales. Based on the existing theories of tsunami impact, from both tsunami height and current, on breakwater. We estimated damages on breakwaters and inundation in harbor region.
