Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄第一科技大學 === 金融系碩士班 === 106 === This study investigates the factors affecting the performance of domestic banks by panel data model. The sample consists of 30 banks from 2009 to 2016. The empirical results show that the ratio of non-interest-earning asset has a significant negative impact on the return on assets, but has a significant positive impact on the net interest margin. The ratio of operating expense has a significant negative impact on the return on assets and the return on equity, but has a significant positive impact on the net interest margin. The ratio of total loan has a significant positive impact on the return on assets, but has a significant negative impact on the net interest margin. Both ratio of non-interest income and non-performing loan have significant negative effects on bank performance. However, both ratio of demand deposit and credits extended to interested parties have no significant effect on the bank performance.
