In the middle of the night of February 6, 2016, after a wave of shaking, the researchers woke up from sleeping. Later, they learned that there was a building collapse on Yongda Road, and many people were missing. At this time, they felt that the human power was small, but in the face of disaster. At the same time, there should be more scientific and feasible methods to reduce the damage caused by disasters, so the content of this paper was raised.
Buying a product is just buying its own functional product. Is it possible to have other extensions or ancillary functions? The same earthquake, why some low buildings fell, and some high buildings are safe? Is the product that is isolated or energy dissipation more expensive, or does it need a variety of matching and response measures? Consumers choose these products to care about those factors. Are there any blind spots and markets for these factors? Are these products suitable for Taiwan?
This study uses questionnaires and in-depth interviews. First, through the questionnaires, we can find out the items that consumers care about for isolation or energy dissipation. Then we will conduct case studies and in-depth interviews with experts to understand the current situation of market products. The final goal is to make the shock absorbing products more widely used and promoted to the building.
Taking the isolation system as an example, the friction single pendulum support pad can efficiently and effectively prolong the earthquake period and can deal with most of the earthquake damage. However, as time goes by, the face of the earthquake damage is more diverse. Therefore, the new products are also close to the composite type, and consumers should also consider and pay attention to their own environment, conditions and needs when using them.
