The objects of study are junior high school students in Kaohsiung City by means of questionnaire, stratified and cluster sampling. The instruments includes “Personality Traits Scale,” “Positive Psychology Scale” and “School Life Adjustment Scale.” After the testing, 590 shares valid samples are obtained. The study is analyzed with statistical approach which are descriptive statistics, independent samples t-test, one way ANOVA, correlation analysis and stepwise multiple regression. Based on the result of data analysis, this research reaches the following conclusions: 1. Among the “personality traits” of the junior high school students in Kaohsiung city, the perception of “Openness to experience” is the highest, the perception of “neuroticism” is the lowest. 2. Among the “positive psychology”of the junior high school students in Kaohsiung city, the perception of “Optimistic and aggressive” is the highest, the perception of “flow experience” is the lowest. 3. Among the “school life adjustment” of the junior high school students in Kaohsiung city, the perception of “teacher-student relationship” is the highest, the perception of “learning adjustment” is the lowest. 4. There are significant differences in gender toward personality traits of the public junior high school students in Kaohsiung city.. 5. There are significant differences in gender toward positive psychology of the public junior high school students in Kaohsiung city.. 6. There are significant differences in gender and grades toward school life adjustment of the public junior high school students in Kaohsiung city. 7. Personality traits is positively related to positive psychology and school life adjustment of the public junior high school students in Kaohsiung city. 8. Personality traits and positive psychology positively affect school life adjustment. It can be predicted 40.5% variation of the whole school life adjustment, and the most predictable effect is positive trait aspect. Eventually, according to the conclusion, the researcher makes the concrete recommendation, as the reference to the administration, school, parents and future research.
