Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 106 === There are four research objectives in this study: (1) to develop a teaching plan for differentiated instruction of recorder for sixth graders; (2) to explore the implementation process and difficulties regarding the teaching plan; (3) to analyze how the teaching plan for differentiated instruction of recorder affects students’ learning; (4) to reflect on the researcher’s professional growth throughout the process of the teaching plan. This research is an action study with 29 six-grade students from a primary school in Kaohsiung City as the subjects and two recorder pieces from Han-Lin published art textbook VII of primary school as the teaching content. The researcher’s notes of observation in the music class, students’ feedbacks and interviews, post-class reflections, student motivation questionnaires, and suggestions from collaborative researchers, are organized as data for analysis and discussion. The research results are as the following: 1.This study developed a teaching plan for differentiated instruction of recorder, and constructed a learner-centered differentiated instruction model through the action process. The process of the teaching model includes analyzing learners, differential tasks, exploration of experiences, cooperation and sharing, and multiple modes of evaluations. 2.This differentiated instruction adopts both homogeneous and heterogeneous grouping, four-part recorder pieces, and Ostinato (Ground Bass). The purpose is to help students succeed in learning by setting appropriate learning tasks and needs for them. Teachers should make teaching more flexible and adaptable when encountering difficulties in class management, guidance of cooperative learning, recorder ensemble and teaching assessment. 3.The teaching plan for differentiated instruction of recorder can change students’ learning: (1) the teaching plan can help all the students rediscover the fun of learning and get positive feedbacks; (2) students’ learning attitudes are more positive because they have the opportunities to explore their interests; (3) different learning tasks can increase achievement and strengthen learning motivation of all students; (4) students tend to study harder than before because teacher pays more attention to the learning process. 4.Teacher as researcher has improved ability in curriculum design, teaching, and assessment after action research, recognizing that teaching should be flexible at all times. However, music education must aim at enriching students’ experiences, cultivating abilities and habits of independent learning, and making them lifelong learners who love art. Based on the above research results, suggestions of this study are proposed for the design, implementation, and evaluation of teaching, for music teachers as well as researchers in the future.
