Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄師範大學 === 教育學系 === 106 === The purposes of this study were to investigate the differences between work values and teaching effectiveness of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City, to understand interactions in work values and in teaching effectiveness of teachers with and without administrative duties according to different background variables, and to analyze the correlation between teachers’ work values and teaching effectiveness and the predictive power of teachers’ work values on teaching effectiveness. The subjects of this study were elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City. A questionnaire was employed as the tool. A total of 600 questionnaires were collected and 570 questionnaires were valid. The data was analyzed by using descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA, two-way ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment correlation, and stepwise multiple regression. The conclusions of this study are as follows: 1. Work values of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City reach the upper-middle levels and the aspects of the interpersonal interaction scores the highest. 2. There are significant differences in work values among the elementary school teachers by seniorities and job positions. 3. Teaching effectiveness of elementary school teachers in Kaohsiung City reach the upper-middle levels, and the aspects of the teaching enthusiasm, and the teaching adjustment score the highest. 4. There are significant differences in teaching effectiveness among elementary school teachers by ages and job positions. 5. According to different background variables, there are no interactions in work values among teachers with and without administrative duties. 6. According to different background variables, there are no interactions in teaching effectiveness among teachers with and without administrative duties. 7. There is a significant positive correlation between work values and teaching effectiveness of elementary school teachers. 8. The work values of elementary school teachers can effectively predict theirs teaching effectiveness. Finally, based on the results of this study, some recommendations for educational administrative authorities, elementary school teachers and further researchers are suggested.
