The researcher interviewed four counseling psychologists(3 females and 1 male)who all have more than five years on the counseling work. Through the hermeneutic circle and across-participants’ interpretation, a holistic understanding of the bereavement experience and from which gaining the meanings of personal life and counseling profession as well as their contexts fell on the researcher was listed as follows: 1.The content of the four counseling psychologists’ bereavement experience include four themes. (1) Experiencing from low emotions, negative perceptions to thinking about what they can do. (2) Whether it was expected or unexpected bereavement, a great impact on people. The unexpected bereavement more easily affected one's beliefs and values. (3) The bereaved coping models varied from person to person, mainly through new links and meanings reconstruction with their loved one who was pass away and giving themselves more power to face their future. (4) Religious beliefs and social culture make people reinterpret death and life. 2.The meanings of bereavement experience to personal life include four themes: (1) experiencing the value and meaning of life, including the changing terrestrial meaning and the eternal universal meaning; (2) grasping and cherishing the moment of hear-and-now to do what you want to do; (3) adjusting their life priorities and showing them in action; and (4) learning to take care of themselves and finding a more integrative and more beautiful them. The context of mainly-making involves: (1) family structure and pattern; (2) personality, age and cognition of death and other factors; (3) religious beliefs and social culture; and (4) counseling psychology and counseling learning background. 3.The meanings of bereavement experience to counseling profession include four themes: (1) transforming bereavement experience into a key resource for consultation and preparing more well in grief counseling for the bereaved; (2) more sensitive to and aware of the impact of family and social culture or the role of consultative workers on the bereaved; (3) acknowledging the importance of hospice and thinking of the direction of their future counseling professional development; and (4) affecting their view of counseling and counseling model. The context consist of: (1) the accumulation of bereavement experience and practical experience, (2) personality and social expectations of specific roles, and (3) religious beliefs and cultural customs. According to the interpretation of this study, The researcher proposed to organize personal history of loss. Through experiential and reflective training, strengthen the ability to face death issues and hospice and companionship.
