Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 環境工程與科學系所 === 106 === With the increase of greenhouse gases, the phenomenon of greenhouse effect has amplified, becoming unanimously the main cause of global warming to all countries of the world regarding the issue of climate change. This study will investigate the progress results of the greenhouse gas reduction strategy and determine future direction. To understand the knowledge and attitudes of the local residents of the Linhai Industrial Zone on GHG issues, a self-designed questionnaire will be administered by pen and paper exploring the influence of residents’ background differences on understanding the effectiveness of the GHG reduction strategy and proposed future directions. The study selected the residents of the Linhai Industrial Zone as the target population and distributed a total of 300 questionnaires. A total of 283 valid samples were returned and 17 were invalid, with a sample recovery rate of 94.3%. After the questionnaires were returned, statistical methods such as narrative statistics, Independent Samples t Test, Chi-Square Test, single-factor ANOVA and crossover ANOVA were used for analysis. The results of the study indicated that 93.9% of the public understood heavy rain, high temperatures, extreme weather, and drought contributed to the abnormal climate caused by global warming. The results also indicated that 92.9% of the population knew greenhouse gas emissions from fossil fuel power generation, factory emissions, motorcycle/vehicle exhaust emissions, agricultural and animal husbandry activities, waste treatment, and incineration were the main causes of global climate change. In addition, 70.6% of the people know that carbon dioxide (CO2) is the largest greenhouse gas emission in Taiwan. The research results show that people have deceny general knowledge about greenhouse gases. In discussing the promotion of greenhouse gas reduction strategy and effectiveness, people have the highest satisfaction with the results of the landscaping;and the lowest satisfaction in the reduction measures in the control of waste and wastewater. Overall, the results of the differential analysis show that in terms of general knowledge and implementation of greenhouse gases reduction strategies people under the age of 50 are higher than people over the age of 51;college graduates or above are higher than the high school graduates;and employed people are higher than unemployed people with a significant difference. In addition, in terms of demands for reduction and promotion methods, the number of people under the age of 50 is higher than that of people over the age of 51, and those with college education or above are higher than those with high school qualifications. In the recommending newspapers and magazines as the propaganda method , men are higher than women, and there are more professional people than non-professionals. It is suggested that government agencies, in addition to newspapers and magazines and media outlets, can also strengthen the development of school children's education environment so that schoolchildren can understand energy conservation and carbon reduction from an early age and set stricter regulations and regulation standards for environmental protection.
