Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立屏東科技大學 === 幼兒保育系所 === 106 === Through a parent-child art event series sponsored by the Dadong Arts Library in Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, this study examined the interactions between fathers and children and their understanding of life education picture books focusing on the dimension of “people and the environment.” Data obtained from observational records, interviews with fathers and children, questionnaires, and group reflections were analyzed on the basis of the study objectives. Nine parent–child art events were held, with each lasting for two hours, at the multipurpose room on the second floor of the Dadong Arts Library. Research participants were fathers and their children, whose age ranged from 4 years to 10 years. The study findings are as follows: (1) The art events increased interactions between fathers and their children; (2) The events increased the understanding of life education picture books emphasizing the dimension of “people and the environment”; and (3) Group reflections highlighted the importance of communication prior to the event, previewing the event procedures, and teamwork. Finally, this study provided suggestions according to these findings to serve as a reference for future studies.
