| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中山大學 === 中國文學系研究所 === 106 === After the Qin and Han Dynasties, the development of Mencius Philosophy stopped for nearly a thousand years. It was put forward again in the Tang and Song Dynasties, and gradually became the academic mainstream in the Song Dynasty. It replaced the position of Zhou Gong, replaced "Zhou Gong and Confucius" with "Confucius and Mencius". Mencius''s status has risen. At the same time, the concentration of the imperial power and the situation of the Song made the thought of Mencius friction with the political situation. Therefore, there was efforts to reconciled Mencius thought, tryed to find a balance between ideal and reality. In conflict and compromise, Mencius Philosophy was being discussed more and more widely in Song Dynasty. It became the basis of political ideas between Respecting Mencius and Disfavoring Mencius. Thus, it affected the trend of politics in Song Dynasty. Polity and social patterns change promoted the change of academic development. Mencius Philosophy had a breakthrough growth. Song Dynasty in the restructuring to avoid the past crisis. The former needs recognition, the latter pursues stability. Therefore, the both had an exchange and gave birth to Song Neo-Confucianism and the Cultural Awareness of Scholar - officials.
In this paper, by analyzing the relationship between Mencius Philosophy and politics in Song Dynasty. Let academic thought besides theorical discussion, but also extended to the actual use of the surface, as well as the evolution of the update after the collision system. So that the appearance of academic thought from the plane into three-dimensional, and truly feel that it exists in political society.
