Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺中教育大學 === 科學教育與應用學系環境教育及管理碩士班 === 106 === This study builds on ‘Theory of Planned Behavior’ and incorporates ‘Global Warming Activism’ claimed by Lubell et al.(2007) to form this research framework. The main purpose of the study was to explore and understand as the people faced climate change and extreme climate issues, what were the behavioral patterns of adaptation. The subject of the study was the people of the five counties and cities in central Taiwan, and were stratified and sampled out based on the percentages of targeted population. A total of 960 copies of questionnaire were sent out and 492 copies returned. The recovery rate was 49.2%。The questionnaire was divided into four different behavioral patterns: ‘all subjects’ response to climate change’, ‘more often green consumers’ response to climate change’, ‘green consumption of all subjects’ and ‘forest conservation of all subjects’. Each Cronbachα was 0.981, 0.977, 0.962 and 0.957. The important results are shown as follows: In this study, the ‘all subjects’ response to climate change’ behavioral model, the overall fit is great. The model shows that Cognition significantly affects Affective Attitude, Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs, Selective Benefits, Collective Interest and Behavior; Affective Attitude significantly affects Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs, Selective Benefits, Collective Interest. Behavioral intention is positively influencing Behavior; Behavior positively and significantly influence Action; but Affective Attitude and Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs have no significant effect on Behavior Intention. Adding Rational Attitude and other variables will help to enhance the mode of Behavior Intention, Behavior and Action of the explanatory power, respectively, by 49%, 82%, 75%, to 82%, 82%, 95%. In this study, the ‘more often green consumers’ response to climate change’ behavioral model, the overall fit is great. The model shows Cognition significantly affects Affective Attitude and Behavior; Affective Attitude significantly affects Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs, Selective Benefits and Collective Interest; Behavioral Intention is positively influencing Behavior; Behavior is positive and significant influence Action; but Affective Attitude and Selective Benefits have no significant effect on Behavior Intention . In addition, the original Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs and Collective Interest Variables influence each other to become Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs only affect the Collective Interest Variables. Rational Attitude and other variables will help to enhance the mode of Behavior Intention , Behavior and Action of the explanatory power, respectively, by 45%, 69%, 78%, to 72%, 75%, 86%. In this study, the ‘green consumption of all subjects’ behavioral model, the overall fit is great. It is understood from the model that Cognition significantly affect Affective Attitude , Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs and Behavior; Affective Attitude significantly affect Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs , Selective Benefits and Collective Interest Variables; Behavioral Intention is positively influencing Behavior; Behavior is positive and significant influence Action ; but Affective Attitude and Selective Benefits have no significant effect on Behavior Intention. Rational Attitude and other variables will help to enhance the mode of Behavior Intention, Behavior and Action of the explanatory power, respectively, by 57%, 79%, 88%, to 85%, 81%, 96%. In this study, the ‘forest conservation of all subjects’ behavioral model, the overall fit is great. It is understood from the model that Cognition significantly affect Affective Attitude and Behavior ; Affective Attitude significantly affect Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs and Collective Interest Variables; Behavioral Intention is positively influencing Behavior; Behavior is positive and significant influence Action; but Affective Attitude and Selective Benefits have no significant effect on Behavior Intention. In addition, Selective Willing-to-Pay Costs and Collective Interest Variables are not significantly affected. Rational Attitude and other variables will help to enhance the mode of Behavior Intention and Behavior of the explanatory power, respectively, by 48%, 73%, to 85%, 75% ; however, the action remained at 88%. Compare the four different behavioral patterns: I.The ‘all subjects’ response to climate change’ behavioral model, the Cognition affects other internal potential variables most. II.The behavioral pattern structures of ‘more often green consumers’ response to climate change’ and ‘green consumption of all subjects’ are the most similar to that of the theoretical behavioral model assumed by this study. III.The behavioral pattern structure of ‘forest conservation of all subjects’ is the most incomplete one of the four behavioral patterns. The reason is that conservation of forest-related activities is more difficultly implemented than green consumption in the life.
