Data collected through the use of “Paternalistic Leadership Scale (PLS)” and “Athlete Attachment Scale”, this thesis takes advantage of descriptive statistics, Pearson product-moment correlation, and Multi factor line regression method as analysis tools. The result shows different correlations between paternalistic leadership and attachments. There are positive correlations between “authoritarianism leadership” and secure, insecure, avoidant attachments. Correlation with “benevolence leadership” is positive for secure attachment but negative for avoidant attachment. Finally, “moral leadership” is positively correlated with secure attachment but negatively correlated with avoidant and dismissing attachments. These correlations correspond with and supports most of my assumptions and predictions. Based on the result, it is concluded that there’s a strong connection between coaches’ paternalistic leadership and athletes’ attachment. Kao, San-Fu 高三福 2018 學位論文 ; thesis 44 zh-TW
