For the purposes of this study, the researchers took 25 second-year students in the teaching class as the research object, implemented a reading comprehension strategy using a picture book designing curriculum program, and conducted teaching activities to enhance the reading comprehension of the study participants for a period of 12 weeks. The reading comprehension ability of this study meant "word meaning understanding" and "literature comprehension" ability. During the study period, the teacher collected data through the observation of reflective journals, parent questionnaires, student feedback forms, etc., and analyzed them, supplemented by "Chinese reading comprehension." The scores before and after the test were analyzed and discussed, and the conclusions obtained in this study were summarized as follows: 1. the picture book teaching program suitable for the lower grade students of elementary school is based on the reading comprehension strategy. 2. The picture book teaching program has improved the reading comprehension ability of junior high school students. 3. The implementation of a reading comprehension strategy for picture-book teaching to improve the reading comprehension of the lower grade students of elementary school is indeed conducive to the researcher's professional growth and reflection ability, and can solve the teaching site problems. Finally, based on the findings of this study, the researchers put forward some specific suggestions for teachers to implement reading comprehension strategies for picture book teaching and future research.
