碩士 === 國立臺北大學 === 犯罪學研究所 === 106 === The latest fraud crime is using tele-technic, composing many criminal experts to finish one case. The person who plays this role is called the “courier” (in the criminal organization). In criminal group, couriers are nobody and do not evolve any decision, but without them the tele-fraud organizations can’t finish their fraud crime. In other words, couriers are marginal but indispensable. According to the data of courier arrested by police, most of the suspects are juvenile, male and enlisted by friends, classmates and alumni. This thesis choses 10 similar juvenile couriers as subjects and studies them with semi-structured interviews and focus on juvenile couriers in Taoyuan to study: 1. Analyze the juvenile’s approach to join the fraud group. 2. Analyze the criminal subculture in juvenile couriers. 3. What is the difference between the juvenile courier criminal subculture and traditional juvenile gang criminal subculture. The findings are the maladaptation of family and school make juvenile join the courier subculture. Juvenile are connect with the recruiter in some problem places. When they are enlisted, the recruiter will use them to find out more. In addition, the characteristics of the juvenile courier subculture are : First, money is the only orientation. Second , juvenile courier travel between illegal and law-abiding. Subculture norms without groups. Third, the group type is similar to the operating direct selling company. The division of labor is fine and detailed. Each person has his own duties. Fourth, There is no emotional communication between the couriers and they do not identify each other as a group. They only work, and they are not familiar with each other. They only know each other who are drawn in by each other. Final, Juvenile couriers’ subculture only engages in couriers-related tasks and will not have other related criminal acts or conduct any activities. At the last, the thesis discover the differences between the juvenile couriers criminal subculture and traditional juvenile gang criminal subculture: The access to join the juvenile couriers criminal subculture is similar with the access to join traditional juvenile gang criminal subculture. Most of them are introduced by the colleague. There are not formal ceremonies to join the juvenile courier subculture. Only need to pass some examinations for the role task. Besides, the youth in the juvenile courier subculture are partially recognized the mainstream social norms. They will pursue the capitalism value of the mainstream social norms. But the youth in traditional juvenile gang criminal subculture totally deny the value of the mainstream social norms. The juvenile courier doesn’t have the sense of belong with each other in the subculture. When the juvenile courier can’t earn enough money in the courier subculture, the group will dismiss. Or, when the youth find the more stable and legal jobs , they will leave the juvenile courier subculture. Key words : juvenile courier , fraud
