Summary: | 碩士 === 國立臺東大學 === 進修部暑期文化資源與休閒產業碩士專班 === 106 === In recent years, the crisis of food safety has been continuing so that it is imperative for students from an early age to have a correct understanding on food. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience, effectiveness, and challenges for implementing food & agriculture education at a metropolitan elementary school in Yilan County. There are 5 classes of students and 5 teachers all together 127 persons, who were invited to join this program. They are invited in the qualitative case study through observing, interviewing, analyzing, and integrating. This study has reached three important conclusions: (1) the food & agriculture education program has both “top-down” and “bottom-up” developing types, (2) the food & agriculture education program makes a better understanding on the issue of food security and healthy diet food as well as on food and land emotional for students, and (3) lack of field space, lack of special funds, and unclear positioning are three major challenges for promoting food & agriculture education.
