Through f inding out how they feel the emotional labor at the place they teach, the sources of emotional labor and the aspects that impact emotional labor can be explored and the coping strategy to reduce el ementary school teachers ’ emotional labor wi l l be found. In order to achieve the research purpose, qualitative case study method is adopted in this study and al l the data were col lected through semi -structural interviews with three elementary school teachers from the northern Taiwan. Later , the research data were coded and analyzed by triangulation. The research resul ts are as the fol lows: 1. For elementary school teachers ’ source of emot ional labor, their feelings for “work load ”, “students’ behaviors ” and “ teacher-parent communication” are profoundest , and some teachers push themselves to achieve their educational responsibility and sense of mission. 2. While the elementary school teachers are facing stress from emotional labor, there wi l l be negative impacts from aspects such as physiology, mentality and behavior. 3. There is still a big room for improvement on the coping way for dealing with emotional labor for elementary school teachers in addition to changing strategy and proper emotional relief.
