碩士 === 國立臺灣大學 === 建築與城鄉研究所 === 106 === 　　In recent years, with the development of information and communication technology (ICT), many new entrepreneurial activities emerged. Realizing the phenomenon, this study aims to explore new types of activities and spaces that would influence people to start new businesses. In this case, this study takes hackathon as the research target, where players, firms and mentors gather in a certain venue and use ICT to develop products in a few days. Through hackathon, this study tries to understand how such an event leads players to become entrepreneurs or to help their new start-ups. Based on literature related to entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial elements and entrepreneurial activities, this study uses participatory observation in different kinds of hackathons and interviews entrepreneurs who have joined hackathons in their different entrepreneurial stages. 　　According to this study, hackathons bring talents and key actors together to help and encourage entrepreneurs to establish their businesses through collaborations and product developments within constrained time, which enables close interactions between participants. Most importantly, entrepreneurs may extend and broaden their access to the entrepreneurial resources like funding and social connections provided by the hackathon networks. However, it is also noted that entrepreneurs still need to combine participations in hackathons with their extra-event activities so as to obtain other critical entrepreneurial resources
