Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立臺灣藝術大學 === 中國音樂學系 === 106 === Chaozhou zheng music is one of the main zheng schools in the Southern China, known as its lucid, gentle, unsophisticated and elegant characteristics, attaching to the ancient, local musical genre, Chaozhou Xianshi music, and has established its development of aroma and styles with its distinct musical scales, modes, notation, and performing techniques. The modern zheng piece Purple Lotus Bud uses the mode and skeletal melody of the traditional Chaozhou zheng piece Pink Lotus in Multi-Mode, mixing with elements of blues music, and forms a piece containing cross-cultural characteristics. The developing process and musical content of the piece has motivated the author to do further research. The study, through analysis and intepretation, observes the composing thought and musical traits, probing into the composing content and value of the cross-cultural Purple Lotus Bud, and expands to the discussion on aesthetic trends and experiences. The study has constructed the basic knowledge of the piece through document collections and interview survey, and has analyzed the structure of the two mentioned pieces from the aspects of musical structures and material analysis, discussed the material application of Chaozhou music embodied in the Purple Lotus Bud, and deliberated the cross-cultural characteristics itself and content that reflecting social culture. The study result reveals that the Purple Lotus Bud has been developed on the foundation of inheriting the traditional tune of Pink Lotus in Multi-Mode, and thus enables itself to maintain the traditional charm of Chaozhou music while combining distinct materials from Blue music, producing new timbre, acoustic effects with contemporary performing techniques; it develops a dialogue between Chinese and western music through application of composing materials, enriching the acoustic color by using the texture of string quartet, and embodies a new style itself. The development of contemporary zheng music synchronizes with the age. Purple Lotus Bud breaks the limit through its cross-cultural concept, emphasizing on tradition but with an innovative look of contemporary zheng music, and embodies an aesthetic sense of multiple cultures of this age and a fresh look of cross-cultural work.
