This paper through theoretical principles and scientific methods to study the shell of fan motor Drawing process and die design. In this paper, we used 1.2mm thickness of SGCC steel plate which had through Drawing process to do transfer die design. We had planned the process and the parameters of the shell of fan motor design. And then we used the stamping software “VISI” to design the die. It can reduce the actual tooling testing times and times effectively. Also achieve the purpose of reducing costs. In the first pass, the height of the drawing was 54.2mm, in the second pass, the height of the drawing was 48mm, in the third pass, the height of the drawing was 46mm, which was not due to the thickness distribution. Stretch causes thinning and the average thickness lies between 0.8 and 0.9mm. The results show that the design of engineering according to the design criteria of Drawing ratio , we designed eight processes, blanking, drawing-1, drawing-2, drawing-3, Shaping, punching, triming, side punching, pits punching. According the results to design the die and manufacture. After the real drawing process, measure the final product. The results show that the dimensions of the product were all conform with the drawing request. In the process, the development cost was mainly improved, and the material cost of 8% was saved, from 2.8 dollars to 0.7 dollars; replacing manpower transmission with transfer molds, saving about 75% of manpower; production efficiency can be produced from 8 people per day from about 4,000, and from 30 to 14,000 can be produced in 1 minute, and the transfer mold is improved by about 3 times. This research has successfully developed the extension and delivery die of the fan motor housing to transform it from a single engineering die to a transfer die, and assisted in the application of die CAD, and greatly reduced the design and development lead time, design and manufacturing costs, and benefited the follow-up stamping processing production. effectiveness.
