It is a very significant issue how to include young people for a long service. On the other hand, the leadership of the all-volunteer force play an important role for transforming the recruited young people from socialized ones to militarized one with the core value of duty, honor and country. They must obey the orders. This study focus on the intention of stay-or-leave. We will also study how the leadership can affect the intention by the transforming of leadership and creating of organization recognition, in order to find the effective way to increase the intention of staying and lower the intention of leaving. For the object of this study, a squadron in northern Taiwan that is recruited will be chosen. The method of doing this survey is by handing out questionnaires. The result of various analyzing methods shows that transformational leadership has an obvious positive effect on organizational commitment, and that organizational commitment has a mediating effect on transformational leadership and the willingness to retain service.
