Description
Summary:碩士 === 靜宜大學 === 應用化學系 === 106 === The plant Cassia siamea Lamarck is an evergreen tree, which was planted in Taiwan as a garden viewing and street tree. It has pharmacological activity of swelling, treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, sprain of hamstring, convulsion in children, bloating, gastrointestinal tract and other diseases. In this study, the Cassia siamea pods were extracted with 75% methanol-water, and then subjected to column chromatography to obtain five compounds. These compound were including triterpenoids: friedelin (A) and lupeol (C), anthraquinonoid physcion (B), naphthalenonoid 4-(trans)-acetyl-3,6,8,- trihydroxy-3-methyldihydronaphthalenone (D), and chromonoid compound 5-acetonyl-7-hydroxy-2-methylchromone (E) were identified by spectral analysis and authentic sample, respectively.
