Researcher compiled the “Job Satisfaction Scale” and the “Work Efficiency Scale” to investigate the job satisfaction and the job effectiveness of junior high school teachers in Taichung city. A total of 455 junior high school teachers from 36 schools filled out the questionnaires. Researcher found that: 1. The average of the job satisfaction of junior high school teachers in Taichung City was significantly lower than 3.4. 2. The average of the job effectiveness of junior high school teachers in Taichung City was significantly higher than 3.4 that was above average. 3. The job satisfaction of junior high school teachers in Taichung City had significant differences in genders, age groups, educational backgrounds, seniority, positions, identity, school sizes, and qualification of teacher. 4. The job effectiveness of junior high school teachers in Taichung City had significant differences in gender, age, educational background, seniority, positions and identity. 5. There was lower positive but significant correlation between the Job Satisfaction and the job effectiveness. 6. The satisfaction of interpersonal relationship and The satisfaction of work could explain for the job effectiveness.
