Description
Summary:碩士 === 實踐大學 === 媒體傳達設計學系碩士班 === 106 === The paper is started from the reflection on my personal life, trying to get at the relation between the meaning of creating and being, and to figure out how creating plays a role in one’s race, also, how a creation brings us reality. This paper, as a statement of my works, “Strange Here”, is considered to be the introduction and some additional remarks about creations. On the other hand, it is finished to attempt keeping some thoughts, which arise in my mind during whole process, to construct the constantly changing concept of creations. With literature review, I study the theories of photography to clarify how a photo narrates, and make it somehow the way my works to express. Also, as an image creator, I concentrate on the meaning of photography and how it connects to people’s memories, to make more spiritual intension in my works. Furthermore, I make a study of some montage theories, discuss how still images can be montage. Based on the thinking of how a creation brings people reality, and what’s “that reality”, I besides use some studies of contemporary phenomenon for reference, quote the idea of “Hyperreal” from Jean Baudrillard to describe the “unstable meaning of reality” in people’s cognition, which is however seemed to be more real than the real one. That also represent a denial of the absolute single reality, to be consistent with the thought of making montage. Then back to the subject of “Strange Here”, I make some researches on the creators or artists who use montage of still images as well, explore the possibility of turning everything in our sight into montage. In the end, there is some notes about my creating process, and the explanation of how those discussions above help me finish my works “Strange Here” with the expression of my attitude when facing the everyday life. In the meanwhile, I also bring the focus back to my personal life, write down how creating have made me be able to recover the real moments in which I live.
