| Summary: | 碩士 === 東吳大學 === 日本語文學系 === 106 === Based on the analytical method combining three dimensions-「real examples」「subjectivity」, and「quantity」, this thesis analyzes the application of adjective clauses aimed at “tekisetu” and “tekitou”.
The following is the main process of analyzing:
1. With coefficient of logDice applied, this thesis filters nouns highly collocated to “tekisetu”and “tekitou” from databases such as Balanced Corpus of Contemporary Written Japanese and Tsukuba Web Corpus, for maintaining the accuracy of the analysis.
2. Categorize the collocates of “tekisetu”and “tekitou”, based on Classified Vocabulary List, and examine the differences between two.
3. Conduct cross-reference aimed at collocates of “tekisetu”and “tekitou”. And compare and analyze similarities and differences between applications of two.
The result of the analysis shows that「Tekisetu」carries positive meanings, and often appears in 「official occasions」. It is less possible to collocate with「Tekitou」for nouns belonged to categories such as 「techniques、education、medical care」. Though「Tekitou」 represents positive meanings like「appropriateness」and「suitability」, it indicates negatively as to 「lightheartedness」. Since「Tekitou」could have opposite definitions, cases with positive meanings are more likely seen. It is impossible to collocate with「Tekisetu」for nouns belonged to categories such as 「seasoning、presentation、timing」, neither for categories such as 「reasons、logic、excuses」.
