Meanwhile, information technology has obviously become one of the important resources to make critical infrastructure in the field of modern country maintaining economy, political affairs and social activities continuously working.
In the developing of information technology, the problem of transnational international crime is upcoming occurred. Currently global are facing the threaten of information security, including the risk of critical information infrastructure destroyed increasing due to the opening system and internet. It is also revealing the security of critical infrastructure has the potential problem in the topic of information security.
The developing in the protection of critical information infrastructure in our country is not rapidly than Occident, however, we still take some actions to protect the critical information infrastructure. After we legislated for Executive Yuan and government organizations information security management guidelines since 1999, and relative standards to follow for government departments, we set into action a series of mechanism plan and developing program, that’s all because the threaten and challenge in the information security is getting complicated and worse so we need to continuous to get the policy of our
information security development moving.
Although we have already legislated「Information and Communication Security Management Act」, only the legal institutions for critical information infrastructure are stated in every laws and regulations. Therefore, our most important topic is to legislate the laws that can implement the protection of critical information infrastructure.
