The attractiveness of all-volunteer forces for salaried wages is attractive to people with lower or lower education levels in Taiwan. That is in the case short-term service soldiers do not have appropriate policies and methods to meet the needs of employment, and it is not a good influence on the flow of human resource in society and the attractiveness of the military. Therefore, this study uses the theory of Core Employment to discuss the employment status and core employability of Veterans. The survey research used in this study adapted to the questionnaire on the employability of National Youth Commission, Executive Yuan. This questionnaire was sent and collected through the personal network for the period from March 1 to April 31, 2018. A total of 125 surveys were sent, and 83 were recceived. Through descriptive statistics and analysis of variance, our major findings are as follows: (1) Veterans are unstable in employment, the proportion of entrepreneurs is too high, and the ratio of making a career change is also above average in Taiwan in the year of 2015. (2) In the core employment, both research participants and employers agree that the most critical competencies are "good personal work attitude," "stability and pressure resistance," and "expression and communication skills." (3) On the performance of core employment, the current employment performance is significantly higher than that of military experience. (4) The Chief of Staff performed best in the core employment of military experience. (5) The Veterans who have stabilized employment are also better at core employment performance.
