When the family business is taken over by the second generation, the concept, policy and business objectives may be different from the previous generation. There are many family businesses in Taiwan. According to the statistics of the Taiwan Institute of Directors and the Enterprise Development Center, 74% of Taiwan's listed cabinet companies are family businesses. The average age of the first generation of business leaders is 60 years old, indicating that Taiwanese family businesses are facing the stage of succession.
