It also explored the variation exhibited by employees with various backgrounds in organizational trust, knowledge sharing, and job performance. The correlations and interrelation among constructs under research are investigated as well. The method of questionnaire survey is employed in this study. A total of 201 copies of questionnaires were administered and 201 copies of valid questionnaires were obtained, corresponding to a valid response rate of 100%.The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 software.Statistical analyses include t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, Pearson product-moment correlation analysis and regression analysis. The major findings of this research are as follows: 1.The respondents with different background variables exhibit significant variation in every dimension of organizational trust, i.e., the respondents’ “Trust in Organization”, “Trust in Supervisors” and “Trust in Colleagues” varied with different age group, level of education, years of service, and service department. 2.The respondents with different background variables exhibit significant differences in knowledge sharing, in particular the sub-dimension of “Explicit Knowledge”. There also existed significant differences in knowledge sharing among respondents from different divisions of service department. 3.The respondents with different background variables demonstrate significant differences in work performance. Respondents among different age group and level of education reveal significant variations in “Task Performance” and “Contextual Performance”. 4.Every dimension of organizational trust exerts significant impact on all facets of knowledge sharing. Organizational trust and knowledge sharing exert positive impact on all facets of job performance. Based on the aforementioned findings, the following suggestions were made for the reference of the Guard Corps at the Coastal Patrol Directorate General and for follow-up studies. 1. Construction of database APP for daily operation to enhance the sharing of knowledge and experience performance. 2.Establish a sound performance management system to strengthen organizational trust and knowledge sharing. 3.Engage colleagues to enhance the interaction and trust among the members of the organization. 4.For future researches, it is suggested that researchers can explore other factors influencing employee behaviors. 5.Besides questionnaires, it is suggested that researchers can adopt in-depth interviews and field observation in future studies.
