Explore on the current situation and development of Taiwan''s solar thermal industry with the number of installations and installation area of solar water heaters

碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 經營管理研究所 === 106 === In order to reduce the impact of global warming and solve the energy crisis, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (2000) has issued the "Energy Promotion Scheme for Solar Water Heating Systems", but abolished in 2003. The government will promote "solar water heating systems" in 2008. One of the energy conservation and carbon reduction action plans, due to low installation penetration rate (Economic Energy Bureau, 2015), lack of design technical specifications, no design evaluation process, lack of integration with building structure (Liu, 2009), the results are questioned. This study aims to 1)Explore the effectiveness of solar water heater installations, 2)The causes of the impact, and 3)Strategies to promote installation penetration. According to Lin (2009), four factors affecting the installation of solar water heaters are: climate, economy, policy and construction, we collected the actual installation area and number of pieces in Taiwan, and the operational status of qualified manufacturing suppliers, qualified sales installers and qualified. According to the information on the loss of technicians, the problem of low installation penetration rate is analyzed, and interview experts, and solutions are proposed. Results are: from 2000 to December 2017, the installation rate is only 3.61%, which is seriously low. The reasons for the impact are: lack of education, training and marketing of installation manufacturers except for the four major factors of climate, economy, policy and construction. The strategies for installing rate are: (1) encouraging all counties and cities to supplement the subsidies, (2) allowing people to apply for the installment payment, and (3) introducing educational promotion to daily life, (4) Invite people and professionals to participate in the study of the implementation, (5) Promote the participation of the solar thermal related public associations, (6) popularization of after-sales service, follow-up guidance of technical personnel. It is suggested that the Government should use the above strategies to achieve the goal of "2025 Non-Nuclear Homes".
