Study on the Relationship between Taiwanese Adults’ Personality Traits and Sociosexulity

碩士 === 樹德科技大學 === 人類性學研究所 === 106 === 　Western scholars used "sociosexuality" to carry on the individual difference of openness or not openness to the sexual behavior which does not have the commitment or marriage relationship, and discovered there is the highly correlation between the sociosexuality and the personality traits, but there is no relevant research in Taiwan. 　Therefore, we collected 1585 samples of over 18 years of age in Taiwan by the network questionnaire, and the status analysis revealed the differences and the relationships between different backgrounds in personality traits and sociosexual orientation, and between personality traits and sociosexual orientation. 　The results showed that there were differences between personality traits and sociosexual orientation among Taiwanese adults with different backgrounds, and found that there was a predictable and correlated relationship between personality traits and sexual social orientation. 1. Openness and Extraversion: It’s the more open and extroverted, the more open. And they can predict the overall and the behavior, attitudes and desires dimensions of sociosexual orientation 2. Conscientiousness: It’s the more conscientiousness and the more not openness in the overall and the attitudes and desires dimensions of sociosexual orientation, but there’s no related. in the behavioral dimension of sociosexual orientation. 3. Neuroticism: The neurotic is not related to the sociosexual orientation. 4. Agreeableness: It’s the more agreeableness and the more open in the behavioral dimension of sociosexual orientation, but It’s not able to provide predictions. And it can predictable but can’t relevant in the overall and the attitudes and desires dimensions of sociosexual orientation.
